]]>Sunday was special coz it's the first time we attend a Maulud/Marhaban session here. It was Baby Inas' (Aunty Nora's daughter) 1st month celebration and it was held at the Zawiya Outreach Program facility in Fremont. The marhaban session was short & sweet less than an hour compared to the long ones we are accustomed to back home and we were quietly awed by the beautiful melodious voice of some of the younger qaris.
We just lepak@laze at home on Monday. Abah worked from home.
We spent Tuesday at aunty Nora's house for Inas' 1mth celebration minus the religious do. I had a wonderful time with all my friends :)

I attended my first ballet performance on Friday.. it was a 45mins matinee designed specially for children and performed by Ballet San Jose. It was a truly magical performance.. the international cast were outstanding, the stage decor was beautiful and elaborate, wonderful choreography and the music by Tchaikovsky was simply awesome. I hope to watch this ballet performance again next year and maybe by then I'll be patient enough to sit thru the full length version of the Nutcracker.
]]>We celebrated Eid yesterday (Dec 19) following MCA Bay Area although others here might celebrate it on Friday instead if they follow the other Muslim Association. I went for my first Eid prayers with Mamma & Abah and almost didn't go coz I have problem getting up so early in the day and vomitted all over my jubah once we were in the car luckily we had spare clothes.
After prayers at the Santa Clara Convention Center we rushed straight home coz Abah got to get back to work. Mamma & myself then headed for Aunty Mariam's house for a potluck lunch. We brought Ayam masak merah and kuih bakar durian. There were many other excellent food from Aunty Nora & Aunty Mariam. I spent a good 4hrs playing with my friends before we headed home to join Abah for dinner when he gets home from work. That was our Eid, peaceful, short and sweet :)
]]>Tuesday is Gym day for me. Gym class has really help boost my confidence.. I'm not a very flexible person and before this I have never done tumbles, jump on trampoline but all that has changed since I joined the gym. But there is still some positions that I dare not attempt . Last week I bear walked on two parallel bars which are about 1m above ground.. that was probably the toughest thing I've done. One slip of the hand or legs I could fall but luckily Coach is always there by my side to guide me. Here's some of the other gym activities I've done. Hope it'll inspire you to go to the gym too!

I was very enthusiastic thru out the class, did all the stretches, actions, etc and once the Rudolph song was played I started dancing pretty well too. My parents were very proud of me that day. Once home we took a look at the pics & videos Abah has snapped but we couldn't find the Rudolph the rednose reindeer video at all. There were other pics of me doing this and that but the most important routine was not there #$@$#%$##@! We got a little bit upset and told Abah when he came back home and Abah was so sorry .. he really thought that he had snapped the video but he probably forgot to press the button.. duh! So I don't have any vidoes to share of my dance routine just the pic of me doing the arabesque (not quite there yet)..

I have been wanting for this day since one month ago.. so I was very excited when my parents told me that we'll be decorating the gingerbread house today. Abah had glued 4 gingerbread house structures together the previous night and I helped to sort the candies into the candy bowls. I decorated a gingerbread house last year too but this year's is special coz I get to decorate it with my gal pals, Farah, Iman, Shaayla and Katelyn.
We really had a great time and I think the parents had as much fun too! I really hope to make this an annual event for us & our friends.

We sent off Farah & Iman's dad, Uncle Johann and our ustadz, Pak Adi Sumandi to the airport last Sunday for their haj trip. We pray for their well being and that they can overcome all challenges to attain hajj mabrur. Amin.

Have fun elfing around yourself!
Thanks Aunty Ruth for this cute lil thingy ..
]]>To prepare me for the checkup they let me watch a 2mins video of a monkey who went for a dental checkup .. it was to give me an idea of what I was in for. Once I lay down on the table the dentist starts to count my teeth and check them for cavities.. now I know that I have 20 teeth and I don't have any cavities.. hurrayy!!
The dental assistant then took over. She cleaned my teeth of plague, floss them and even polish them with the machine too and for the last step, she applied fluoride on my teeth to make them strong ( I wasn't suppose to drink or consume anything for 30mins after the fluoride has been applied) . All that time i just opened my mouth wide and didn't complain at all and my parents were beaming with pride. When it was finally time to go home I was given a goody bag full of toothbrush, sticker, crayons and a colouring book with a reminder to brush and floss my teeth everyday. It was a very pleasant experience indeed :)

My Best friend, Shaayla turned 3 a week ago and we celebrated her birthday at Emma Prusch Farm park. I had a great time at the party.. there were lots of good food, including my favourite nasi goreng from Dardar Seafood Restaurant. We get to enjoy both indoor (craft work) and outdoor activities since there was a playground there and chickens were everywhere .. there was also a barn with farm animals like pigs, goats and cows.
When all the kids get restless after lunch.. Abah suggested playing musical chairs. It was the first time a few of us played musical chairs which results in confusion and was very comical hahaha :P Towards the end of the party, all of us had a go at pulling the strings of the pinata (another first time for me).. a few pulls later .. a whole bunch of candies and small toys rained on us. We all had fun .. it was a great party indeed!
