It’s been 2 weeks since I joined Granada Islamic School. The first day of school was on August 18th.. I woke up at 6:20am, all bright and sunny .. no hassle at all. And when we reach school at 8am, no tears from me. School was a blast and still is. I love that I get to learn new duas and I fall in love all over again with Yusuf Islam’s songs. I’m learning Arabic .. alif is for asad (lion), ananas (pineapple) and now even my arabic pronounciation has a slight sweet arabic accent.

My parents are glad that I don’t have problems adjusting to a new school and making new friends. Alhamdulillah.. everything has been wonderful so far. I’m looking forward to learning and experiencing new things, making more new friends and having FUN!

Way to go Alya! I’m sure u will master yr Arabic soon.
Do you knw that we can also learn Alif Ba Ta thru phonics, which they called Huruf Hijaiyah? Like learning and reciting our ABC. Eg Alif Arnabun(Arnab) Aa Aa Aa, Ba Baqaratun (Cow) Ba Ba Ba. I learnt it frm my sch and its fun and easy to remember.
