My classmates and good friends from Fun Mandarin Class in Sunnyvale.
I started the mandarin class last Saturday Feb 9th. The class is only for 1hr but Teacher Jamie has made the class exciting and fun that I’ve learned quite a number of new words within 2wks. My parents are happy too coz they get to spend their Saturday morning drinking coffee and chit chatting with their friends and after class we all head for lunch together. So it’s a win-win situation for all. Now that I’m learning Mandarin, very strong in English and crawling like turtle in Malay .. next language for me to learn will be Arabic which I’ll be learning whether i like it or not if I get enrolled into Granada Islamic School in August. Abah hopes I will pick up Spanish along the way and Mamma been saying that there’s no limit to how many languages I can potentially learn.. that will probably make me a potential multi-linguist ehh ![]()

25|Feb|2008 3Sonia & Alya, guess we are stuck in the same shoes of having learning mandarin (and others) since we have the chinese blood in us..worst for me, direct somemore.
Actually learning language can be fun too yah…at least we know for 1 word, there’r many diff pronounciation for each language. Till now, my nenek is still laughing at me cos i said “nenek i want sakit nasi instead of sikit”…see…we are all doomed in the malay dept. sigh…
