No Party if No Potty

Unlike some of my friends who had big birthday parties, my parents didn’t plan any party at all for my third birthday They said that I didn’t satisfy the prerequisite of having a party ie. to be fully potty trained. Yes, I’m afraid I’m still wearing diapers, I do shi shi on the potty most of the time but sometimes I just refrain from telling them especially when it comes to poo poo. Actually i think it’s all bullshit.. they just don’t want to get into the hassle of organizing a party.

Today, we had a farewell picnic at a park for Uncle Khir who’s going back to Singapore next week. All of our friends who knows and have met Uncle Khir came to wish him goodbye. I was told early on that this is Uncle Khir’s event and not my birthday party so I was very surprised when one by one of my friends came to wish me Happy Birthday and brought along gifts too. Auntie Nora & Auntie Wan and family had even brought an ice cream cake for me.. even my parents were surprised that everyone had remembered eventhough they had mentioned before that we’re not celebrating.

It was a truly memorable day and best of all, I’ve conquered my fear of going down the slide while playing at the playground with Shaayla!
